About the Role
You will be joining the tech art team which is responsible for defining the tech art budgets, material budgets, custom shaders and all the procedural tools and pipelines which are required to produce assets for the game in an intelligent, scalable and reusable (non-destructive) manner
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Create new assets while following technical and artistic direction to ensure the end product is of high quality and shippable
- Help with technical setup of materials, pipelines and workflows
- Update existing assets for new platforms and technology
- Fix graphical bugs and also help with optimization of assets
- Mentor other artists
Conduct peer reviews of assets to offload lead artist and art director
Requirements
At least 5 years of relevant work experience
Proficient with 3DSMax/Maya/Blender, Substance Painter, Zbrush and Unreal Engine
Understanding of procedural techniques and tools, including but not limited to Houdini, Substance Designer etc
Experience with scripting e.g. MEL, Python, Maxscripts or similar to develop tools for other artists
Experience with designing and implementing art workflows and pipelines
Experience with optimization and shipping titles across multiple platforms
Portfolio which demonstrates your seniority and skills
Good organizational skills
Good communicator
